This backstage musical with Alice Faye falling for no good Tyrone Power was so close to the Fanny Brice story and included the song My Man that Miss Brice sued and collected. |

| Verdict | |
| Al is plainly playing himself in this movie and doing a great job of it. Great to see the real Jolson projecting some of the style that ignited the stage of the Winter Garden. Of course the main focus of the movie is meant to be Power and Faye but the Jolson songs are what make it memorable. | |
